Privacy Policy
Your information, in plain words
This policy explains what BCE Combustion Inc. collects when you use this website, why, who handles it for us, and the choices you have. It is written to meet Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
In effect since October 10, 2026
What we collect
This site has one form and one calculator. Everything we collect comes from those two things and from the technical data every web request carries.
The contact form
When you send a request, we receive what you typed and a few details about the request itself:
- your last name, and your first name if you give it
- your email address and phone number
- your company, if you give it
- your message
- whether you asked for a quote or for support
- the sizing calculator’s result, if you attached it
- the language of the page, the page the request was sent from, and the time it was sent
The sizing calculator
The airflow, temperature rise and fuel you enter are worked out in your browser. Nothing is sent to BCE Combustion unless you attach the result to a request. Until then, the result is kept in your browser’s session storage, and it is removed when you remove it, when you send a request, or when you close the tab.
Technical data
Like any website, this one is delivered by a host, Cloudflare, that handles the technical data each request carries, such as your IP address and browser type, to serve the pages and keep the site safe. When you send the contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the request comes from a person and not a program; that check receives your IP address. Our own contact program never records your name, email, phone, company, message, sizing, IP address or browser details in its logs. If you choose “Show Google map”, Google receives your IP address and browser details to show you the map.
Why we collect it
- to answer your request and prepare a quote or arrange support
- to send you a confirmation that your request arrived
- to protect the site and the form from abuse
Who handles it for us
We do not sell or rent personal information. These providers process it on our behalf, each for one purpose:
- Cloudflare
Hosts the site, runs the program that sends your request, and runs the Turnstile check that tells people from programs.
- Zoho CRM and Zoho Mail
Stores your request in our customer relationship system (Zoho CRM) and sends the two emails it produces: the alert to our team and the confirmation to you. Our mailboxes are hosted by Zoho Mail.
- Google Maps
Shows the interactive map at the bottom of the home page, only after you choose “Show Google map”. Google then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies.
Outside Québec
These providers may store or process information outside Québec, including outside Canada. Where that happens, the information is subject to the laws of the place it is held. We share only what each provider needs for its purpose above.
Analytics and your consent
This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. No request is made to Google or to any other analytics provider when you visit, unless you choose “Show Google map”, which loads Google’s map.
What is stored in your browser
This is the complete list of what this site keeps in your browser.
| Name | Where | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
bce_sizing | Browser session storage | Carries the sizing calculator’s result to the contact form when you attach it. | Until you close the tab |
How long we keep it
- The website itself stores nothing about you. Your request is stored as a record in our customer relationship system, Zoho CRM, which also sends the two emails it produces: the alert to our team and the confirmation to you.
- We keep your request in Zoho CRM, and the alert in our mailbox, for as long as we need them to answer your request and to follow up on the work it leads to.
- The sizing result stays in your browser until you remove it, send a request or close the tab.
Your rights
Under Law 25 and PIPEDA you can:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- withdraw a consent you have given
- receive the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used format
- ask us to stop using your information or to delete it, where the law allows
- complain to us, or to a regulator
We answer within the 30 days the law allows.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to a privacy regulator:
